Dr. Piyush Bansal completed his Bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery before completing his Masters in Ophthalmic surgery (MS). He pursued a long term fellowship in Ophthalmic microsurgery at Venu Eye Institute & Research Center, New Delhi. At L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, Dr. Piyush Bansal pursued his comprehensive Ophthalmology two-year fellowship. He further pursued a long term fellowship in the diagnosis and management of Vitreoretinal diseases & Uveitis at L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad where he also worked as an adjunct consultant. Dr. Piyush Bansal holds a fellowship from the International Council of Ophthalmology (FICO) and a fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons in UK (FRCS). He had the privilege to pursue a traveling fellowship at Ospedalle San Rafaella, Milano, Italy.
Dr. Piyush Bansal is one of the few Indian surgeons bestowed with the honor to be a fellow of the prestigious American College of Surgeons, USA (FACS). He is the Hon. Secretary of the Poona Ophthalmological Society(POS). He is honorary member of the Scientific Committee of the Maharashtra Ophthalmological Society(MOS).He is the Chairman of the Maharashtra Chapter of the Young Ophthalmological Society of India (YOSI).
